Rob found KMS when he was looking for a new physical activity outside of work. Krav presented a new challenge and a new community; he ran with it and kept coming back for more.
Before he became an instructor, Rob did over 450 classes in 2015, the second highest number of classes of any KMS member that year. That works out to almost 1.5 classes per day, six days per week, for the entire year. To say that Rob is dedicated to KMS would be an understatement!
Rob was a Marine in the US Marine Corps reserves from 1998 to 2004 and was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant. He held the billet of Platoon Sergeant for his Heavy Equipment / Motor Transport platoon where he was trained as a heavy equipment operator.
Rob became a Krav Maga instructor so that he can help others find the positivity and strength that Krav Maga brings to people’s lives, as it has done for him. Rob completed his first Krav Maga Worldwide instructor certification (Phase A) in 2016 and crushed his Phase B and C certifications in 2018.
Rob grew up in a military family and lived in Louisiana, Germany, Kansas, Michigan and Hawaii before settling down in Washington state in 1992. He was a competitive swimmer and water polo player throughout his youth and high school years.
When Rob is not Krav-ing it up, he works as a Senior Fraud Analyst for Alaska Airlines.
