4th Degree Black Belt Jon Pascal Leads Anti-Abduction & Hostage Seminar
On October 29th and 30th, Krav Maga Seattle held a two-day anti-abduction and hostage seminar led by Krav Maga Worldwide 4th Degree Black Belt Jon Pascal. Jon is the director of the Krav Maga Worldwide™ (KMW), Force Training Division and has been training and teaching Krav Maga for over 25 years.
Participants learned how to defend against handguns, edged weapons, and abduction and hostage scenarios. They defended attacks and fought back with their hands bound, their eyes and/or mouths covered, and other abduction-specific situations.
It was an amazing day!

“Please bring these two back again! I learned SO much and had such a great time learning what could have easily been very stressful and scary stuff. I felt safe and supported the whole time which allowed me to embrace the ‘scariness’ of the activities and topic. If the instructors had not been so well versed and personable, this activity would not have had such a profound impact on me. I am so thankful for the opportunity to participate in this event. Truly life changing.”
“I had so much fun, it was the best day I've had in a long time and I can't wait to attend another one!”
“I have never been to a KMS seminar before and this was an absolutely incredible experience! Thank you to everyone for organizing, hosting, and making the day everything that it was!”
“This was so amazing, guys; honestly, I enjoyed the hell out of every moment of this class. I can't believe I did six hours of krav training and it FLEW by. … The instructors were off the charts in terms of their ability to motivate us, instruct us, and move us through the curriculum at a reasonable pace…. I loved, too, that the instructors mixed us up and had us work with a variety of partners throughout the day; I had a chance to experience all sizes and shapes of opponent. Not only was this a fantastic training and confidence-boosting activity, it got me fired up to come to regular level 1 classes and train even harder!”
“The instructors (Jon and Jeff, but also all the assistants) were so kind and supportive. They made a seminar that could have been VERY stressful fun and engaging. It was still intense but I always felt safe. I loved the use of repetition for the drills and the last drill.”
“I've attended every seminar so far, and they are all amazing! Thank you for the incredible effort and care you show to the KMS community!!!”
“Jon is a fantastic instructor! He was my favorite part. Also, the van work at the end. Holy cow. Intense, but awesome to see our skills put to use.”
“The repetition of learning the hostage, knife, and gun defenses was great because I felt like I learned them fairly well in a short period of time. I also loved working around and in the vans.”
“I liked the progression of each technique, and the repeated repetition of each set continually adding new things. I felt it was a solid way to build confidence and executing everything.”
“AWESOME seminar! Would take it all over again, right now.”
